FLASHBACK: 1977-1979
Formed at the home of George's parents.. Flashback was named by George and based on playing music of the 60's and the 70's. Members in and out included: George on guitar and vocals, Tony Pinhero on vocals, Danny Fisher, Jon Harding, Todd Lahman, Evan Firstman, Mike Stewart, and Teddy Bauman all on guitar. John Fleetwood and Donald Windle on Bass. David Eugene Fisher, Joe Lowery, Allen Cheezum, and Wayne Hollingshead on drums. They practice at the parental homes of George, Fisherm Bauman, Firstman, Cheezum, Windle, Hollingshead, Lowery and Fleetwood. They played at parties and YMCA teen dances.

OUT OF THE BLUE:1980-1982

George, Murray and Sampson were attending Chesapeake College as freshmans, and starting jamming. Murray convinced his Queen Anne High School friend Parkerson to join and practicing at the college and house of Brent Lewis' mothers in Stevensville, Md.. Out of the blue, "Out of the Blue" was named and formed. Neil Young's song "Hey, Hey, My, My" influenced the name. Which was about the time Neil Young wrote the song "Out of the Blue" Their first paying gig ever for all of them was at the Kent Island American Legion for a Dance Party they sponsered. They played at the Waterman's Inn and parties on a regular bases. The music of some of the cover groups inclued: Ac/Dc, Dire Straits, Blue Oyster Cult, Neil Young, Hendrix and Skynyrd.

BADLANDZ: 1982=1983

Sylvia and Sinclair joined the original line-up Out of the Blue and they became Badlandz. George, Sinclair, and Sylvia rented a big secluded farm house on Hibernia Rd. in Centreville, Md. to practice and live and of course party! Parkerson, Murray and Sampson quit. Later, the new bass player became Bobby Grimes and new drummer Jamie Seward. The band ceased in 1983. Sinclair moved to Austin, Texas and is still there. He worked a little with Lou Reed. Sylvia moved to Daytona Beach, Fla. and is still there. He collaborated a little with Leon Wilkeson of Lynyrd Skynyrd. His band is called Einstein's Attic. Badlandz played dominately southern-rock music such as Molly Hatchett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels, Marshall-Tucker Band, and Allman Bros.

The band was mainly country music, with some souhern rock. Based out of Cambridge and Wingate, Maryland. Later Hopkins was replaced by Victor Wise from Denton, Md. Wise and Mark Stewart from Bozman,Md. quit to form their own band. Scott Cronshaw of Easton played half year until Steve Reiter from the band Wet Behind the Ears (Wisconsin popular band) joined.
The band was managed by Jeff Hyman of Lone Star Agency of Baltimore. Lone Star represented Cowboy Jazz. With their tour bus they played in the Baltimore and Frederick county areas., such as the Balitmore City Fair, the cruise boat Port Welcome, Catoctin Inn and many other night clubs.

BROAD REACH: 1986-1989

Riffle, who lived in Royal Oak, had a party and there was Les Frampton from Tilghman, Md. and Walt Warrington of Easton, Md. originally form Mameraneck, N.Y. and realizing they all played an instrument decided to organize a band and practice. Warrington contacted his friend George and Riffle contacted his college buddy Mike Nelson from Crisfield, Md. and the sails were up for Broad Reach. They played very often in St. Michaels at The Perry Cabin Inn, Harbortown at Martingham, and the Miles River Yacht Club and various events and parties. After 3 years George quit to form a new band. Later Walt Warrington quit and joined up with Eric Tipton to form Blues Deville. A very accomplished musician, Walt passed away in 1999.

The band was started at the apartment of Jamie Seward in Wye Mills, Md. with Bill Cornell of Stevensville and Doug Spiegel from Grasonville, Md. A year later added to the jam, John Price as lead singer, Lou Ann Ambrose originally from Ohio on the keyboards, Steve Vondenbosh from Preston, Md.as sound technician and Valerie Edwards Haaff from Stevensville, Md. as booking agent.(Still under construction)

Phil Swaby from Washington, D.C. and George spun off Del Pritchett's band to do some sideline gigs. George was Hotsh, a nickname he aquired while working at the Robert Morris Inn in Oxford, Md. back in 1980. Homeduck( a word George made up in 1981) was Swaby.
They started playing at BullBrier's in Easton every Thursday and Saturday. Bullbrier's is now called Tom's Tavern. Playing from classical to The Devil Went Down to Georgia.

George met Lisa Selby, originally from Baltimore, at a Folk night open-mic hosed by Ed Kline in Jon and Mike's tavern in St. Michael's. Selby approached George about practicing and gigging. Soon they were out playing.

J. GUY GEORGE: 2002-2003
After 30 years of playing the guitar, George is attempting to go solo for awhile, promoting his original songs. He is currently playing at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Pascal's Tavern and Schooner's Landing. Asa Tibbs, his 26 years of friendship and ten years of playing and writing music together plays with George most gigs.
